Only oily and combination skinned people know the struggle of getting your skin moisturized without it looking oily. I tried COSRX NATURAL BHA SKIN RETURNING EMULSION (click to read the review) and it was phenomenal but as it was a bit expensive to some of my readers so I decided to try a more affordable one for you.
About the product
It is an oil free moisturizer which claims it is clinically proven to normalize combination skin by moisturizing dry areas while controlling shine in oily areas for softer smoother skin.
What it claims
- It won’t clog pores
- Alcohol free
- Allergy tested
- Fragrance free
Directions to use
(As mentioned on product)
Use 1 pump and apply all over face and neck. Use morning and night, alone or under make-up. Avoid contact with eyes.
It is a pretty basic container with a pump to dispense the product, making it safe from self contamination. As shown in the picture it is white in colour.
2. Organoleptic property
The product is also white in colour and has a slight creamy texture. As mentioned earlier, it is fragrance free and for me it is a downside, I like to see some colour in the products, if not that then some pleasant fragrance.
3. Oil free
So here it gets tricky. I specifically bought this product because it was oil free. When I first took this product in hand, I was confused because whichever oil free product I used were light weight formulation and this was a bit heavy. And it felt the same on my skin too. Other oil free products gets easily absorbed in my skin but this product takes too much time to get absorbed and without it happening I cannot apply my sunscreen and make up. When I leave for work in the morning, I don’t have time for such nonsense. So I entirely stopped using this product in the morning. Also, I started myself sweating more and my make up was not blending properly when I was using this product.
INR 375 for 118 ml of this product
I don’t think this product was at all for combination skin as it didn’t even work for my oily T-zone. I think it will work good on normal or dry skin but I didn’t find anyone to confirm this. I don’t recommend this at all for oily skined people. Price wise it is a good bargain and being clinically tested also makes it better but I don’t think I will buy this product again.
