Vitamin C serum – Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drops Review

Hi, I am Ashika Advankar and I welcome you all to this blog. I could see a lot of Instagram posts about Vitamin C serum and how they affect our skin so I decided to give it a try. This product was actually recommended by a friend and trusting her I decided to buy this product which is on the expensive side.

How does Vitamin C serum help the skin?

It is a potent antioxidant that is acidic in nature and has skin healing properties. When we apply Vitamin C on the skin, it triggers to heal itself by accelerating the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are naturally occurring proteins and fibres that help the skin.

It prevents premature ageing of the skin. It helps in reducing the spots and hyper-pigmentation as it reduces skin’s melanin production. People with sensitive skins who might have allergies or redness should have or use very little vitamin C on the skin. Some vitamin C derivatives have hydrating properties. It helps an evening the skin tone as well. As it contains collagen, it increases the elasticity and firmness of the skin and it protects against sun damage. It is also said that it promotes wound healing.

Points to remember

It is for external use only you have to discontinue irritation increases or develops. Even after stopping the product verification doesn’t go away. You have to visit the doctor.

You have to store it in a cool, dry place away from the sunlight.

Packaging

Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drops comes in a transparent glass bottle with a dropper. The dropper is good to prevent contamination and sanitization as our hands don’t directly come in contact with the product.

The one thing I am dissatisfies about that the product comes in transparent container. Vitamin C gets easily degraded during storage and also when it comes in contact with sunlight. Normally we don’t keep the product in sun but it anyhow reached the product.

As you can see my product it is slight yellow in colour. I have started keeping in refrigerator to decrease its rate of degradation. There are many other Vitamin C serums I have see which come in opaque packaging or in dark coloured bottles. So make sure you look at all these points.

Consistency of the product

The formulation has a liquid type consistency. It is not thick so be careful when you take it on your finger because it might slip through the cracks. So I always recommend that you always take it on your palm first.

When and how to use Klairs vitamin C serum?

I use this product in my AM and PM routine. It is pretty regular in my AM routine, but I don’t use it in my PM routine when I am using my retinol. I have read somewhere that you can use retinol and Vitamin C together but I don’t want to start that yet.

I started using Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drops first with my sunscreen or moisturizer, I started using it directly on my skin after two months. When I first applied it to my skin directly, it felt very hot. I use it after my face wash and I always follow my Vitamin C serum with sunscreen.

Effects on Skin

Just to clarify at first, when I started using this product in lockdown, I had also started a healthy weight loss program in which I lost almost 10kg on my unhealthy weight, so a good diet might be a part of my results.

My skin got visibly better looking, there were reduced or no spots on my skin. All my acne scars and pigmentation started decreasing as well because of Klairs vitamin C serum.

The positive result that I want to share with you is my father’s. He has very pigmented skin and he shaves his beard every day which has also made his skin very rough and thick. You can really feel the thickness of his skin. I also him to use Klairs Vitamin C serum mixed with sunscreen twice a day and within 15 days I could feel his skin on cheek getting soften than before and the pigmentation on his forehead also reduced showing an even skin tone which was a surprise even for him. Price

35ml of product costs INR 1570 which you see is pretty affordable when we have to just use two or three drops of this product everyday.

My Review

When you include any product in your skincare routine, it is very essential that you wait for 20-25 days before you see it’s effects. This product is suitable for all skin types but those of you having very sensitive skin kindly consult someone before applying.

No product will work if your body is healthy. Make sure you drink lots of water and eat vegetables atleast 4 times a day for healthy skin. I now personally believe that everyone should include antioxidants in their skin care routine as soon as they cross 25, to prevent ageing and get rid of pigmentation of the skin.

Klairs Vitamin C serum can be your partner for the same. Even though it is a bit pricey but there is no doubt that it is one of the best Vitamin C serum out there. I have seen the effects on my own skin as well as my father’s. Sometimes I wish I would have got him started on it earlier.

I recommend it to anyone who want to include Vitamin C in their daily routine. If you want to try some other product you can also read about Tvakh 5% Vitamin C Glow Booster Exfoliating Water.
